 The 20163 Charles Schwab Cup Championship is the final event of the season on the PGA Tour sponsored Champions Tour and after being played for the first time at Desert Mountain Cochise course Scottsdale, AZ. It is again back at Harding Park in San Francisco after that one year absense. The field is determined by the current top 30 players off of this season's money list vying for the Champions Tour's coveted Schwab Cup Champion of the Year prize. This is the largest purse of the year at 2.2 Million with 440,000 going to the winner. The Schwab Cup is a performance points system who's regular tour counterpart is the FedExCup. Kenny Perry has a significant points lead for winning the Champions Tour points His lead is over Bernhard Langer who's won it before but not Perry yet. Kenny Perry won the U.S. Senior Open in 2013 & remains the odds on favorite this week.
