The 2012 Web.com Tour Championship is the final event of the season on the PGA Tour's Web.com sponsored - (developmental) - Tour and was played at the TPC Craig Ranch host course located in McKinney Texas. The field is determined by the current top 60 players off of this season's money list vying for the final 25 who will earn playing priviliges to play on the 2012 PGA Tour. This is the largest purse of the year at 1,000,000.00 with 180,000 going to the winner so a good finish this week could move someone up from back in the pack and conversely move a player out of that top 25 should they play poorly. So there's great drama and interest riding on performance in this final event of the year on the Nationwide Tour here hosting it's 19th consecutive Tour Championship. Many who've won this event have also later gone on to win on the PGA Tour a list that includes David Duval, Stewart Cink, Steve Flesch, Bob Burns, Spike McRoy, and Nick Watney.
