CaddyBytes 🏆 2026 TOUR Championship Final Round Highlights: Scottie Scheffler erased a three-shot deficit with a closing four-under 66 to win the TOUR Championship at East Lake Golf Club. Scheffler finished at 16 under with a 264 total, three shots clear of 54-hole leader Viktor Hovland and four ahead of Ryan Gerard. Hovland and Gerard each closed with 72 as Scheffler turned a crowded Sunday title race into a decisive victory at the FedExCup finale.
Scheffler announced his charge with an aggressive approach into the back-left hole location at the second, then managed a fairway-bunker shot at the third safely toward the center of the green. He continued applying pressure until he had a chance to tie the lead, then converted the opportunities that moved him in front and allowed him to extend the advantage. His final 66 completed four straight rounds in the 60s after opening 65-67-66.
Hovland recorded an early birdie and remained in the fight, but the overnight leader could not match Scheffler's sustained scoring. Gerard also stayed within reach through the middle of the round before settling for third at 12 under. Russell Henley produced one of the featured approaches of the day to set up a kick-in birdie, while Rory McIlroy added late birdies at the 16th and 18th. Henley and McIlroy both finished in the seven-player tie for fourth at 11 under.
Ludvig Åberg, Jacob Bridgeman, Alex Fitzpatrick, Chris Gotterup, Henley, Min Woo Lee and McIlroy shared fourth, five shots behind the champion. Tommy Fleetwood, Adam Scott and Cameron Young tied for 11th at 10 under, with Si Woo Kim, Tom Kim, Collin Morikawa and Xander Schauffele another shot back. The victory belonged to Scheffler, whose final-round 66 was six shots better than both players who began Sunday ahead of him.
