With $4 million on the line, Episode 2 continues directly from the opening-session scores below and follows the competition as the 64-player field is narrowed to 32. The full second episode is available in the video grid directly below this recap.
Episode 1 opened with the 64-player field selecting four captains before the teams were built through a snake draft. Peter Finch took charge of the Blue Team, Ryan Ruffels captained the White Team, Wesley Bryan led the Green Team, and defending champion Brad Dalke headed the Red Team.
The captains immediately began building four 16-player teams. Dalke selected Tooms with the first pick, Bryan chose his brother George Bryan, Finch took Luke Kwon, and Ruffels selected Micah Morris. Ruffels then won the 100-yard closest-to-the-pin contest and chose to face Finch, setting the opening matchups as Blue vs. White and Green vs. Red.
Day 1 began at Ozarks National with two-player teams competing in nine-hole scramble matches. Each match was worth one point, tied matches were split, and no handicaps were used. Episode 1 ended with Finch's Blue Team holding a narrow one-point advantage over Ruffels' White Team, while Bryan's Green Team built the strongest lead of the opening session against Dalke's Red Team.
Score shown at the end of Episode 1:

| Blue Team — Peter Finch vs. White Team — Ryan Ruffels |
Blue 4½ — White 3½ |
| Green Team — Wesley Bryan vs. Red Team — Brad Dalke |
