CaddyBytes Recap: Sunday at the WM Phoenix Open turned into pure Scottsdale madness, with birdies flying and the leaderboard flipping every few holes. Hideki Matsuyama looked in control after stuffing shots at 13 and 14 and climbing to 16-under with a one-shot lead, while Scottie Scheffler and a fearless pack of young challengers kept the pressure on. But Chris Gotterup refused to go away — closing with a scorching 64 and birdie after birdie to force the issue from the clubhouse. Late mistakes cracked the door open, and the tournament spilled into a playoff where chaos struck again. Matsuyama found the water off the tee on the first extra hole, and Gotterup stayed calm, rolled in the winner, and stole the Phoenix Open in dramatic fashion..
