CaddyBytes 🏆 LIV Golf Korea Final Round Recap: Championship Sunday at Asiad Country Club delivered the finish the leaderboard had been building toward all weekend. Joaquin Niemann and Talor Gooch traded pressure down the stretch, both closing with final-round 67s to finish regulation tied at 12-under-par. Gooch had pushed himself back into the trophy fight with his brilliant Friday 63 and another steady final round, but Niemann kept answering late and forced the tournament into a playoff. Niemann then finished the job in extra holes, beating Gooch in the playoff to win LIV Golf Korea and add another huge title to his LIV résumé. The highlights showed how thin the margin was: Niemann had a chance to win it in regulation, Gooch stayed alive, and the playoff turned on one more quality approach and one more composed putt from Niemann when the pressure was at its highest. Bryson DeChambeau nearly stole the whole thing with one of the best final rounds on the course, firing a closing 65 to finish solo third at 11-under, just one shot out of the playoff. Dustin Johnson also put together a strong weekend, backing up his Saturday 64 with a Sunday 66 to finish fourth at 10-under. The team race had its own late drama as well, with Crushers GC taking the team title behind DeChambeau’s charge and moving up the LIV season standings.
CaddyBytes 📊 Final Scoreboard Update: The final posted leaderboard shows Joaquin Niemann and Talor Gooch tied at 12-under after regulation, both finishing at 268 total. Niemann posted rounds of 66-69-66-67, while Gooch went 69-63-69-67. Niemann takes the top line after winning the playoff. Bryson DeChambeau finished solo third at 11-under after rounds of 65-68-71-65, making his final-round 65 the biggest Sunday push from the chase group. Dustin Johnson finished fourth at 10-under with rounds of 70-70-64-66, using a strong weekend run to climb into the top four. Scott Vincent finished fifth at nine-under after rounds of 65-70-67-69. Brendan Steele and Harold Varner III tied for sixth at eight-under, while Lucas Herbert, Charles Howell III, and Marc Leishman rounded out the top 10 at seven-under. After four rounds and a playoff, LIV Golf Korea came down to Niemann and Gooch at the top, with Niemann delivering the final answer when the trophy was on the line.
