Welcome to our Tournament page for the Frys.com Open golf tournament - now in it's seventh year which also begins the new 2014 PGA Tour Season with this week being the first official FedExCup points event of the 2014 PGA Tour Season!

  The tournament is being played for the fourth time at the CordeValle golf club in San Martin (greater San Jose) California.  The previous venue was at the Grayhawk G.C. in Scottsdale AZ where it was hosted the first three years.

There are 132 players in the field including the qualifyers from the 4 tournament round robin which culminated at the Web.com Tour Championship two weeks ago. Everyone begins this week with a clean slate.  PGA Tour Qualifying School will still take place in early December but from this year forth only will gain you a Web.com playing card.  

Since this events inception in 2007 and surviving the economic crash in 2008 to it's evolution this year as a Full FedExCup status event there have been some notable champions in it's 6 year existence.  That list includes Mike Weir in '07, Cameron Beckman in '08, Troy Matteson in '09, Rocco Mediate in '10, Bryce Molder in '11, with Jonas Blixt winning last year's tournament and defending here this week.
