Welcome to CaddyBytes.com’s Tournament's page for the 2016 Memorial presented by Nationwide golf tournament played at the Muirfield Village GC golf course in Dublin, OH. This is Jack's tournament since 1976 and it has a great history, and annually a commemorative to greats of the game of golf. The 2016 Memorial Tournament is dedicated to Johnny Miller and John Garrity. The tournament always draws an elite field and list of players and this year is no different with the big three of current day fame Jordan Speith, Jason Day, and Rory McIlroy playing here this week. There have been some great champions in Memorial history winning this event a list that includes Roger Maltbie winning the first Memorial in 1976, Tom Watson winning his one and only in 1996, Jack Nicklaus twice, Fred Couples, Raymond Floyd, Greg Norman twice, & Tiger Woods five times, with David Lingmerth winning it in 2015 and will be the defending champion here in 2016. |
