Welcome to CaddyBytes.com’s Tournament's page for the 2016 Dean & Deluca Colonial Invitational Championship golf tournament played at the Colonial CC golf course in Fort Worth, TX. Formerly known as the Colonial Invitational and more recently the Bank of America and now Dean & Deluca Colonial Invitational. This tournament will be forever associated Ben Hogan's tournament with Colonial Country Club the Texas version of 'Hogan's Alley'. Both Ben Hogan and Byron Nelson grew up in the greater Ft. Worth area as caddies and both went on to become greats of the game. Hogan won the first Colonial Invitational in 1946 and went on to win four times with his last win here in 1959. There have been some great champions in Colonial Invitational past besides Ben Hogan - a list that includes, Sam Snead, Cary Middlecoff, Julius Boros, Al Geiberger, Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, and Tom Watson to name a notable few. And more recently Adam Scott & Zach Johnshon. & Boo Weekley with Chris Kirk winning it in 2015 and will be the defending champion here in 2016. |
