Welcome to CaddyBytes.com’s Tournament's page for the 2010 Northern Trust Los Angeles Open (formerly the Nissan Open) - golf tournament
Formerly the Los Angeles Open from 1926 to 1970, then the Glen Campbell Los Angeles Open, until 1996 since when the tournament has been customarily known as the Nissan Open.  

Former Olympic great and LPGA star Babe Zaharias twice played in the L.A. Open against the men missing the cut both times.  Riviera hosted the '48' U.S. Open (won by Hogan who set a record there), the 1983 and 1995 PGA Championships, and has been the primary host course since 1929.

There have been some great champions in L.A. Open past including Sam Snead, Byron Nelson, Lawson Little, Arnold Palmer, Billy Casper, and the legendary great Ben Hogan.  Riviera Country Club is the host golf course and is also known as Hogan's Alley.  Phil Mickelson is the defending champion here in 2010.
