Welcome
to CaddyBytes.com’s Tournament's page for
the 2010 Honda Classic!
This tournament has been around since 1972 first as the Jackie Gleason Inverrary
Classic and has been known as the Honda Classic and was for a long time traditionally second
and now is first in
rotation of the PGA Tour's
Florida swing of golf tournament events.
The tournament has been played over a variety of venues since it's inception in 1972 when Tom
Weiskopf beat
Jack Nicklaus for the title. The tournament has always been held in March
with wind a factor and why it has moved around to so many different venues on
the southeast coast of Florida over the years. Now the tournament is being
played at North Palm
Beach Gardens resort's PGA National Champion tournament golf course that was
revamped by Jack Nicklaus.
There have been some great champions in Honda Classic past that include Jack
Nicklaus, Weiskopf, Larry Nelson, Johnny Miller, Nick Price, and Fred Couples to
name just a notable few. The defending champion here in 2010 is
Y.E.Yang.
