Welcome to CaddyBytes.com’s Tournament's page for the 2010 Waste Management (Phoenix) Open golf tournament.  Waste Management is the new sponsor after five years of FBR as host sponsor and the 2010 event will be mark the 73rd year that the Phoenix Open has been around.  (One of the five oldest events now on the PGA Tour schedule.)

The tournament is played over the TPC of Scottsdale golf course and attendance is annually about 400,000 spectators each year there.  The 16th hole seats 20,000 fans now in 2010 with seating completely surrounding the par three 16th Hole from tee to green!

Some great champions have been crowned in the history of the Phoenix Open like Byron Nelson, Ben Hogan, Jimmy Demaret, Walter Hagen, Billy Casper, Gene Littler, Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus,  Johnny Miller, Ben Crenshaw, and more recently Phil Mickelson and Vijay Singh.  J.B. Holmes beat Phil Mickelson down the stretch in the 2008 and Kenny Perry is defending champion after winning last years FBR Open.
