the 2010 Farmers Insurance of San Diego Open golf tournament (Formerly Buick
Invitational). (Again and now known as the San Diego
Open) The San Diego Open has had many corporate sponsors since it's inception in 1952 and
was also
associated with a celebrity host in it's storied past - that was then called the
San Diego Andy Williams Open.
There have been some great champions over the years who've won the San Diego
Open like Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player, Tommy Bolt, and
more recently Davis Love, Phil Mickelson, and John Daly. Tiger has
dominated this place winning the Buick 4 times and the 2008 U.S. Open on this
turf. Tiger where are you:?- we need you man!
Nick Watney won
the tournament in 2009 and now there's a new sponsor. The tournament is
now known as the Farmers Insurance Open here in 2010!!!
