Welcome to CaddyBytes.com’s Tournament's page for the 2014 Pebble Beach National Pro Am golf tournament.  Originally known as the Bing Crosby National Pro Am since it's inception in 1937 when the first event was held at Rancho Santa Fe California and won by Sam Snead.

The tournament resumed after WWII in 1947 and moved to a venue to be played on the Monterey Peninsula along the Cypress Pt. Golf Club, Monterey Peninsula C.C., and Pebble Beach golf links golf courses.  Since then, Spyglass Hill made the rotation replacing Monterey Peninsula C.C. in 1967 with Poppy Hills eventually replacing Cypress Pt. in 1991.

The field is comprised of 156 professionals with the participating amateur contingent of the same number playing along for 3 out of the four days - (the final top 25 Pro's and Am's play on Sunday) - for both an individual pro and team Pro-am event prizes.

Monterey Peninsula C.C. was added in 2010 and will be again back into the rotation for the third straight year to complement the Spyglass Hill and host Pebble Beach links golf courses.

There have been some great champions in AT & T National Pro Am past a storied list that includes Sam Snead, Ben Hogan, Byron Nelson, Lloyd Mangrum, Tom Watson, Johnny Miller, Jack Nicklaus, Davis Love, Vijay Singh, Phil Mickelson, and Tiger Woods.  Steve Lowery was a great surprise winner in 2008, new star Dustin Johnson winning in 2009 & '10.

2011 was a special event with D.A. Points winning his first tournament title with pro am and playing partner all four days - Bill Murray - (of Carl Spackler 'Caddy Shack' golf fame) - and Points - also winning the Jack Lemmon award which goes to the winning team for the pro am division of this storied event!

In 2012 the ever popular Phil Mickelson ousted Tiger Woods still working on a comeback on Sunday here.  Brandt Snedeker won it last year and will be defending here in 2014 this week.
